Week 5 Term 4

This week we were lucky enough to have a catch up session for tennis. We braved the weather with Ben and Andre for our last lesson.

Free slideshow design customized with Smilebox We have been learning about Diwali this week. Diwali is an Indian festival also known as Festival of Lights. People dress up in their best clothes, exchange sweets, decorate their houses with fairy lights and have fireworks. Drishti put on her sari at school so we could see what it looked like. It was stunningly beautiful! During maths we have been learning to count forwards and backwards to help us with our addition and subtraction problems. Next week .... At literacy time we are focusing on capital letters and full stops and the 'ake' word family. Our tricky words are take/start. During maths we will continue with add/sub. During Terms 1 and 4 the children are required to wear a wide brimmed sunhat. Please help your child to remember their sunhat each day. Alternatively a hat can be left at school.
