Week 4, Term 1

We have been having lots of fun with painting on Wednesday afternoons. We looked at primary colours and then we mixed them to make secondary colours. This has made a very colourful wall display!

During maths this week we have been learning to order numbers. This was a bit tricky when we took some of the numbers out!

Next week...

Our sounds will be c/k.
Our tricky words are here/me.
During maths we will continue to order numbers.
On Monday evening we have our annual Family Picnic Tea starting at 5.30pm. This is held on the front field. I look forward to seeing you there if you can make it.

On Wednesday 4th of March we will be visiting the museum. We will leave school at 9.10 am and return about 10.30am. The reason for this visit is to view an exhibition called ‘A Pandemonium of Parrots’. The aim is to grow an interest and awareness of these birds and how we can help to improve habitats and conditions for Parrots in our region. To enable this trip to happen I will require some parent helpers to walk with us and to supervise small groups at the museum. Please let me know if you are able to come.
Have a happy and safe week!

Week 3 Term 1

We have had a busy, hot week!

During writing time we have been trying to remember our finger spaces between our words. We often write on the white boards rather than in our books which is fun.

On Friday we had Discovery Time. Discovery Time is a ninety minute, action packed, activity based programme. Held once a week, it provides opportunities for us to meet the diverse needs of students through well planned, structured, ‘hands on’ experiences. Children get a chance to take control of their own learning. They are motivated and fully engaged. Best of all, it is fun!

Next week...

Our sounds will be p/n.
Our tricky words will be the/come.
During maths we will be ordering numbers 10/20.
On Monday evening at 5.30pm we are having our annual Family Picnic Tea. This is a great event for families to get together and for the children to have some fun. We would love to see you there.
Have a happy and safe week!
