Week 6 Term 3

There has been a lot of illness at school recently. We talked about the importance of washing our hands to help with the spread of germs. To illustrate the point we put paint on Neroli's hands. The paint represented the germs. Then she 'played' with the ball. We passed the ball around a circle of children. We could clearly see how quickly the paint spread and hence the germs!

This week it was Jacob's birthday. His mum made a delicious banana birthday for him to share with us. Thank you so much!

Buddy Reading...
Sometimes after morning tea we reread our daily book to our buddies. We each take turns to read. This is great mileage reading for us which is really important to help with fluency.

On Friday it was Wacky Hair Day. We were raising funds for resources for children in our school with special needs. We had a great day!

Next week...

Our tricky words will be saw/have.
During maths we are counting backwards and forwards from any number up to 100.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday I will be out of the class so therefore on Tuesday Caroline will be teaching and Wednesday Candice will be teaching.
Please remember Calendar Art orders are due back this week.
On Friday we have guest speaker coming to talk with the children on Friday. The cost is $2. Please send this along next week prior to Friday.
